Organizational Performance Highlights
- The Citibank Micro Entrepreneur of 2002 was awarded to Emilia Montinola, a micro finance borrower of San Carlos Branch. The Bank and its Account Officer, Reynaldo L. Canoy were also recognized by Citibank and Microfinance Council of the Philippines , who were organizers of the said event.
- In 2004, the Bank was recognized in the prestigious MABS EAGLE Achievement Award for 2003. The award is given to rural banks that have excellent performance in its microfinance operations.
- In 2005, Bank Victorias got the EAGLE again! This is the second time the Bank was recognized for its excellence in its microfinance operations as measured for its Efficiency, Asset quality, Growth in outreach, Portfolio, Liability structure, and Earnings
- In 2006, Bank Victorias was recognized by Globe Telecom's wholly-owned subsidiary GXI as one of the first rural banks to promote and implement Globe's G-Cash as a means to deliver domestic and international remittances at a much lower cost, and employ its Text-a-Payment and Text-a-Sweldo facilities.
- It also has signed an Agreement with the German Technical Cooperation - Small and Medium Enterprise Development for Sustainable Employment Program (GTZ-SMEDSEP) last April 2007 to further intensify lending to the small and- medium-sized enterprises in Negros and Panay areas. SMEDSEP will make available SME finance experts to provide technical assistance on strengthening the bank's credit technology and to provide capacity building of credit staff. The bank on its part is committed to further increase lending to SMEs in a more efficient manner.
